Schools

Our community and school will work cooperatively to creat a positive climate which fosters high academic achievement, life-long learning, integrity and productive citizenship.

The mission of the Whitehall Public School District is to provide learning experiences that empower students to create a positive vision of their future through the interaction of school, family and community. The Whitehall School District is committed to serving all students and providing for high quality education experiences according to the child's age.

Whitehall School District
The Whitehall School District accommodates students from K-12. Students can explore their talents and plan their future through the numerous academic and extra-curricular opportunities provided by dedicated professionals.

In addition to the regular classroom settings, two-way interactive cable television courses connect to other area schools, and outreach programs through Western Technical College are available. The district also offers programs in the Wisconsin School-To-Work Transitions initiative such as Tech Prep and Youth Apprenticeship.

Western Technical College provides educational opportunities to our region, including a campus in Independence, located five miles west of Whitehall, and a main campus in La Crosse. Western offers certificates, technical diplomas, associate’s degrees, and credits that transfer to four-year universities, as well as customized training, professional development, English language learner, and college prep courses. Community partnerships include service learning opportunities with non-profit organizations and program advisory boards with local business representatives. The local Job Center is located on Western’s Independence campus and is headed by the Western Wisconsin Private Industry Council, which coordinates job training and retention in area communities.
