Job Opening: Program Manager Due to an upcoming retirement and subsequent promotion, our Chippewa Fresh Start YouthBuild Program is hiring a full-time Program Manager to work with at-risk youth in Eau Claire County. This position has a 4-day work week, Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 5 pm. The Program Manager is responsible for direct oversight of the Chippewa Fresh Start YouthBuild Program. We have a tight-knit team providing education, employability skills, independent living, and construction skills training to young adults ages 17 to 24. Job responsibilities include supervision of all staff, program recruitment, case management of program participants, collaboratively working with community partners, and grant performance reporting. A successful candidate will: · communicate effectively when working with staff, partners, and participants · be a highly motivated self-starter, able to prioritize tasks, and manage a complex array of needs · motivate program participants to achieve self-sufficiency with compassion and accountability · exhibit flexibility to adapt to changing participant needs while maintaining consistent expectations · display close attention to detail · understand and track documentation for grant reporting requirements A successful applicant should have: · experience in problem-solving skills, communication, and conflict resolution skills · an understanding of community resources · passion and motivation for helping at-risk youth · experience with Microsoft Office is required · reliable transportation and the ability to travel around Eau Claire County and occasionally Chippewa and Ashland Counties Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required (human services, management, or a related field)
3 years’ experience working with at-risk young adults
